about me
I’ve been producing and writing non-fiction content for over 20 years. Everything from reality TV and digital shorts to feature documentaries and unscripted series. To be honest, my heart has been in the documentary space since I was a kid.
But a good story is a good story, no matter what form it takes.
Most recently, I served as the Vice President of Documentary Films and Series at Participant, an Academy Award-winning media company that pioneered socially conscious storytelling. Here, I worked on incredible director-led films, and developed and produced documentary series on issues ranging from true crime and cults to mental health and climate change. Prior to Participant, I was the Director of Current Programming at CNN Original Series, where I supervised the production of shows including the Emmy winning Stanley Tucci Searching for Italy, The Murdochs: Empire of Influence, This is Life with Lisa Ling, Decades and United States of Scandal with Jake Tapper. Before CNN, I spent many years as a producer, writer and field director in the unscripted space. Some of the shows I’m most proud of include FX's 30 Days with Morgan Spurlock, Showtime's American Candidate, Apple’s cinematic docuseries, Dear…, TLC’s Lost in Transition, ABC Family’s, Switched! and the Emmy nominated documentary feature Meet the Patels.
I’ve also served as an advisor to social impact companies, guiding them on how best to elevate their brand’s values and messaging through storytelling.
I’m grateful to have played a role in so many films, series and digital content that have contributed to vital conversations of our times.
I’m a member of the TV Academy, the Producers Guild of America, Women in Non-Fiction and the International Documentary Association. I’ve led masterclasses on Documentary Filmmaking, and have served on multiple juries including the Emmy Awards and the IDA Awards.
And, I love what I do.
